OH COME ON!!!

Seriously?  They seriously couldn't give me a weekend off?!  No, of course not!  I have barely recovered from the pee in the electrical outlet and the icy hot in the eyes, yet tonight at the dinner table- I found THIS:

What on earth is that you ask?!?!  The larvae of the acorn weevil, that's what.  Jon likes to let the boys collect acorns.  We've had a bowl of them around for a few weeks now.  After dinner this evening Matthew decided to reach back and grab this bowl of acorns to play with.  Of course by" play with" I meant "spill all over the table."  So as I was cleaning up and the boys were finishing their dinner, they were playing with these acorns.  Then I went to scoop the acorns back into the bowl so we could get started making our volcano (more on that later) and when I put my hand down to scoop them to the edge I about frckin' jumped out of my skin!!!!  There were these little larvae crawling ALL over my dining room table!!! While my children were eating dinner!!!!  For the love of God- You have GOT to be kidding me!!!!!  Who in their right mind lets their children play with acorn weevil larvae?!  ME!  Apparently I do!!!  Please do not rush to submit your nomnations for Mother of the Year.  I have already been nominated a handful of times this year already.  Thank you.  Thankyouverymuch!
