Today we got out our rulers again and worked on measuring and comparing lines. The boys are learning how to line up the ruler and decipher how long a line is. We also worked on estimating the lengths of different lines in comparison to lines we had already measured. To finish with a bit of fun, we did a train measuring activity- the boys got to measure some of their favorite trains for more practice with the ruler... they were in heaven!

Measuring Up
This week we started working on measurements- What fun! Daddy was able to pick up an awesome story titled "Zach's Alligator" along with two of the grow your own alligators that are the main character in the book. Last night the boys got to put their alligators into a big bowl of water- but not before daddy helped them measure and record the length of their alligators on a data chart. We will continue to measure their length each evening until they are full grown!
